    Some recent work I’ve been sketching around the theme of tropical and desert especially looking at plants and in this case the Agave plant after being at a mezcal tasting session. Pencil colour is the medium here within my sketchbook.

    Tonight’s creative outlet was with some watercolours. The left is a little contemporary impression from a photo I took of a purple tree in the lake district within a stately home. On the right is a traditional crying baby tattoo with some extra colour added in.

    Finished off this larger canvas. Painted with Cobra oil paints. Took a while to find my flow with this painting and felt it quite hard to leave spaces unfilled.
